Scan Thread Configuration

ScanThreadEN
  • Maximum number of threads to use (ENGINE): the maximum number depends on the available processors and effectively represents the number of Windows machines that can be scanned concurrently in each cycle.

Processing Thread Configuration

ProcesserEN
  • Maximum number of threads to use (PROCESSER): defines the maximum number of threads used for processing temporary files. This setting can significantly affect recording speed, but the impact on the machine must be carefully evaluated to avoid database writing errors (which must be absolutely avoided).

NOTE:

It is generally recommended to set a value equal to approximately half of ENGINE. The final choice depends largely on disk performance (SATA and SAS disks offer significantly lower performance compared to SSD or M.2 drives).

Other details

CPUOtherDetailsEN
  • Quickly Process Temporary Files: the system processes temporary files every 100 writes, improving display speed in the viewer.

  • Timeout: sets a timeout (in minutes) that forces a client disconnection after the specified time. A value equal to 0 disables the timeout.
