Migration to the 2026 Version

Upgrade Procedure from Version 2022 to 2026

The new release requires execution of an upgrade setup, as the underlying framework platform has changed from .NET Framework 4.8 to .NET Core 9.0.
For this reason, a different procedure from the standard internal update is required.

  • Installation of BusinessLog 2026 WITHOUT RT Module

Download the upgrade setup package:

Before starting the installation, for safety purposes:

1. Stop the BlogService and BlogServiceML services.

2. Create a full backup copy of the entire “BusinessLog” folder.

3. Run the setup as Administrator.

ATTENTION:

Ensure that the destination folder matches the existing 2022 installation path.

NOTE: confirmation of file overwrite may be requested during the process. Confirm and proceed.

At the end of the setup, the login window will be displayed. Access can be performed using the usual credentials.

Verify that both services have been restarted.

  • Installation of BusinessLog 2022 WITH RT Module

ATTENTION:

Before running the upgrade setup, disable RT reception in order to stop the incoming data flow.

At this stage, download the updated RT client version 2026.
Both the executable version (.exe) and the deployable (.msi) package are available, (particularly useful for environments with multiple installations).

Upgrade all involved clients to the 2026 version.

Once completed, proceed with the BusinessLog server upgrade following the standard procedure described above. After completion, re-enable RT reception and restart the BlogService service to apply the changes.

NOTE: after this migration, minor updates will be managed directly by the client without requiring manual intervention.
