  • Automatic PC Inventory: at the end of each scan, the program updates the PC inventory of the machines detected on the network using NetBIOS (make sure it is enabled on the server machines).

  • Enable PC search from IP scan: Enables automatic detection through step by step scanning of each IP address. An initial IP address and a final IP address must be specified. This function is particularly useful when multiple subnets are involved.

  • By pressing [Edit] the following window appears:

  • MultiDomain: When enabled, full machine names are imported (PCNAME.DOMAIN.COM). When disabled, the simplified names are imported (PCNAME).

ATTENTION:

This option should be used only in multi-domain networks. Enabling it at a later stage may result in multiple duplicate machines appearing in the list, both with and without the domain suffix.

  • Alert if no logs are recived for XX days: allows you to mark the machine in alert if for XX days chosen, no logs are received.

  • Import machine names from exported Windows DNS files: allows you to import a list of hosts from the standard Windows DNS export (from the DC server).

  • Import machine names from file: similarly to the DNS function, this option allows you to import machine names from a "free" list using other tools as well.
